Text Messaging

My dad has a huge problem with text messaging. He believes that everyone who text's has not communication skills and will only solve problems through text messaging and not through face to face communication.

And this is why he took it away from me.

Now. My friends do not talk on the phone. It isn't because they don't want to deal with issues by hearing someone's voice. No. It is because texting is easier to communicate "Where r we gonna meet?" or, "What time does the thing start?" Yes, I am not going to lie, my friends do have full on conversations through text messaging. But I also want you to know that my friends, are some of the few people I can talk to face to face and receive an actual response from. I really believe that text messaging, instead of taking away the impact of face to face communication, actually makes face to face communication more powerful.

But my Dad would disagree. So to all my friends who want to know what time the thing starts, and doesn't want to waste 2 minutes of their calling plan, just guess 7 since I can't text.

Have a problem with it, talk to my dad.

And Dad...two can play at this game.

But of course this is MHO.
